We have an upstairs bonus room over our garage that is almost impossible to keep cool, especially if the outside temperature is 75 degrees or more. Because of this,... read more the AC unit for upstairs always runs and never shuts off. During the summertime, when the temperature hits 95-100, I can have the upstairs thermostat set to 70 degrees(not that I want it that cold) but the room temperature will still stay somewhere around 80-85 degrees, all the while putting a lot of strain, wear and tear on the AC unit. 360's owner, Ricardo was recommended to me by the gentleman that installed and services my AC units. After Ricardo surveyed my home, he recommended spray foam insulation in my attic. He said that the heat from the garage and from outside is getting trapped in the attic and that's why the room is always warm, even though the AC unit runs 24/7. So I hired 360 Energy Spray Foam to take care of it. Ricardo is extremely professional and courteous and that goes for his crew as well. He did a great job explaining what 360 will be doing and what results I should expect. It was done on February 6th. It took one day(about 5-6 hours) for them to complete the job. Since that time, the daytime high temperature outside has been averaging about 72-75 degrees. So I "tested" the new insulation by letting the room cool off to about 74 degrees and then turning the thermostat off. I wanted to see if the insulation would keep the room at that temperature. But I noticed that the temperature would always increase to and then stay at 77 degrees. I called Ricardo and told him what was going on. He came over the very next day and checked everything out and he told me that I needed to leave my thermostat set to "Auto" and to never turn it off. He said that the AC unit won't run as much or work as hard but that it will still keep the room at the temperature that I want. We are now in the 2nd week of February and yesterday the outside temperature got up to 82 degrees, but the AC unit kept the room temperature at around 75, which is what I had it set to. But maybe most importantly, the AC unit did not run constantly. So the insulation appears to be working. However, I really want to see what happens in June, July, and August when the real heat starts and the temperatures average around 95 degrees. Ricardo is confident and says that we will have no problem and not to worry. So I'm putting my trust in him and his company. When summer time arrives, I'll come back and add an honest update to this review.
